Seafood counters inspired by Jagalchi Market

Local information

Address

52, Jagalchihaean-ro, Jung-gu, Busan

How to get there

Within walking distance of Jagalchi Station on Busan Metro Line 1. Shop and floor operations vary inside the market.

Jagalchi is Busan's main seafood market. Many visitors buy fish and have it cooked on the spot, so it is an easy first stop from Fukuoka on a day trip or an overnight.

Stalls and floors do not share one timetable. Official guidance says hours and closed days differ by shop and floor. Plan to arrive and then find what is open, rather than aiming at a single opening time.

You do not need a reservation. Before you order, confirm the weight, how it will be cooked, and any extra cooking charge. Even when Japanese is not spoken, pointing and numbers on those three points prevent most mistakes.

A step-free entrance is not guaranteed. If you are travelling with parents, put a seated break after the market. A typical visit is about two hours.

We do not quote a price here, because it changes with the stall and the fish. If you need a range, tell the concierge your conditions and a staff member will reply with a range, not a fixed quote.
